Office Administrator (Temporary)
Horspath Pre-School Nursery is recruiting an Office Administrator with great organisation and planning skills, to oversee and complete all administration relating to the Nursery and After School Club and run the nursery’s office.
We are seeking a highly organised, confidential individual who is trustworthy, approachable and flexible to fulfil this role. The successful candidate will work closely with the Supervisor and Chair to ensure the day to day smooth running of the nursery and help us to ensure we are providing high quality care, play and education in a calm, safe, stimulating and welcoming environment.
We are looking for a pro-active person who works well in a team and relates well to young children and adults, and can offer a variety of different skills to strengthen our Nursery and Wraparound care facility.
The day to day role will involve a variety of administrative tasks (from staff rotas to daily registers), completing of book keeping, wages, invoicing, and liaising with third parties on behalf of the nursery. It will also involve acting as a PA to the Supervisor and Chair of the Nursery.
The role will be 15 hours per week, 9am-12pm Mondays to Fridays, during term time. There will also be some additional hours within school holidays.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Highly Computer Literate in Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
- Accountancy skills, book keeping and wages experience would be a definite advantage.
- Experience of working in education or a nursery setting would also be an advantage.
- Good telephone manner.

ASC Assistant (Temporary)
Horspath Pre-School Nursery is looking to recruit an After School Club assistant who can provide high quality care, play and education in a calm, safe, stimulating and welcoming environment.
ALL STARS breakfast and after school club was launched in January 2011 and is proving really successful with children attending the village school and nursery.
The role will involve helping to plan and run creative, fun and fresh activities for children aged between 3 and 11 years. You will be expected to take the lead on some activities and preferably have the experience and qualifications to run sporting activities indoors and outdoors. The club runs 3.15pm-6pm Mondays to Thursdays, and Fridays until 5pm, during school term time.
If you are an enthusiastic creative individual, who’s not afraid of a challenge and possesses great organisational and leadership skills we’d love to hear from you. We are looking for someone who relates well to young children and can offer a variety of different skills to strengthen our activity programme each day.
This position is for Tuesday and Thursdays, but could lead to more hours in the future.
Qualifications:
Early Years/Playwork Training Level 2 or Level 3 required.
Coaching or teaching badges or experience in running sporting activities with young people would be an advantage but not essential.
